COURSE MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT GRANT
PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
To fund acquisition of specialized, permanent teaching materials for new courses or significant upgrades of existing courses. Applicants must demonstrate that these materials are essential to a course's instruction and that the proposed course represents a significant contribution to the College's curriculum. The maximum grant amount is $1,500.
Additional guidelines: Applications must be accompanied by a Chair's endorsement which specifically indicates that the materials represent too much of a burden on the department's budget. Departments must make a good faith effort to defray a portion of the costs of the new materials.
Note: This grant is intended as an alternative to the Curriculum Development Grant, which does not fund materials for course development.
