Students and graduates from Roanoke College are invited to participate in the following career and job fairs. Roanoke College Spring Internship Fair and Summer Camps Job Fair will take place together on Monday, February 2, 2015, 4:30-6:00pm, in the Colket Center main Atrium/Pickle/Patterson.  Watch for details!  Student registration is not required.  This is a "business casual" attire event.

Roanoke College's annual Education Job Fair will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, in the Colket Center on campus.  Advance registration and appointments are required of all job seekers.  Contact Career Services Office,, for details.  

Career Premiere Job & Internship Fair will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, 11am-3pm, at the Green Ridge Recreation Center in Roanoke, VA.  Advance registration is required of all job/internship seekers.  Contact Career Services Office,, for details.

Roanoke Works/Xperience 2015 will take place on March 28-29, 2015.  This program is intended to provide participants with a better understanding of living, working and playing in the Roanoke/New River Valley region, and allow you to make a large number of networking connections and job contacts.  Registration is required for both parts of this program.  ROANOKE WORKS is open only to students at Roanoke College, Hollins University, Ferrum College, Radford University, and Virginia Western Community College.  XPERIENCE 2015 is open to the public.  Please visit for more information.  

ROANOKE WORKS is a private program for students and will feature presentations by several large employers, to share REAL opportunities, REAL jobs.  This program will be held on March 28 from 3:30-5:00pm at CoLab on Kirk. REGISTRATION THROUGH CAREER SERVICES IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.  This group will then join the XPERIENCE group for a reception from 5-8pm at 16 West to kick off the YP portion of the conference.  On Saturday, March 29, 8:30am-1:00pm, the conference will feature workshops and panel discussions held by local entrepreneurs and community leaders from business, government, and non-profits.  The conference will close on Saturday afternoon with options of outdoor activities or a networking event, and then capped off with a social event at the Wasena Tap Room.

Inaugural Poster Session for Students in Museums at VAM's 2015 Annual Conference, March 9, 9-10am, Richmond, VA.  Undergraduate and graduate students in colleges and universities will be our future employees and colleagues. They are currently engaged in challenging and important work in museums throughout Virginia and the District of Columbia. In the classroom and as interns, they are doing research, producing exhibits, conducting oral history interviews, creating website content, and developing public programs. This inaugural poster session, inspired by the SEMC Spotlight on Student Research in Museums, will showcase selected student projects and offers a way for students to connect with experienced museum professionals and other students.
 Proposals are now being solicited for Posters to be presented on Monday, March 9, 2015 from 9 to 10 AM at VAM's 2015 Annual Conference in Richmond, VA. Selections will be made by a jurying committee of museum professionals in Virginia. Selected presenters will receive a free VAM student membership, but will be responsible for their own annual conference registration fees and travel costs. Students may apply for VAM scholarships or volunteer opportunities that lower costs.
