Ripken Baseball will be holding its 7th Annual Internship Fair on Saturday, January 4th from 10am - 12:30pm at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, MD. They are currently looking to fill over 50 internships for the 2014 baseball season (late Spring-late Summer) throughout all of our Maryland-based entities (and, for students that maybe wish to travel, they have operations in Myrtle Beach, SC and Port Charlotte, FL!). Roanoke's annual EDUCATION JOB FAIR will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 9am-3pm, in the Colket Center. This is an INTERVIEWING event for students entering teaching professions in public and private schools. The event is open to ALL interested individuals who are either completing teacher licensure in the spring or summer, who have already completed licensure, and those non-license seniors wishing to teach subject areas at upper school levels in private schools not requiring licensure. It is also open to NON-Roanoke College students and graduates. To make appointments for this event, contact Career Services at 540-375-2303. Roanoke students only can request appointments through December 6. At that time, anyone may request appointments.
Roanoke College will host a combined INTERNSHIP/SUMMER CAMPS JOB FAIR on Monday, February 3, 4:30-6:00pm, in the Colket Center. This is a great opportunity to explore potential summer jobs with camps from a variety of locations, as well as internships for the summer and/or fall of 2014. Mark your calendars and plan to attend! Resumes are encouraged; nice business casual attire at a minimum is required. The CAREER PREMIERE JOB & INTERNSHIP FAIR will be held on February 20, 11am-3pm, at the Green Ridge Recreational Center in Roanoke, VA. This event is open only to students whose schools are in the Career Premiere and Challenge Consortia (this includes Roanoke College). Mark your calendars, and plan to attend! More details to follow, and we will run some shuttles between campus and the GRRC on the day of the event.

Loudon County Public Schools will be conducting interviews at The Hampton Inn in Christiansburg, VA for licensed teaching positions for 2014-15, on January 22 & 23, 9am-7pm. Pre-registration is required in order to be considered for an interview. (They also are participating in our Roanoke College Education Job Fair on February 5, 9am-3pm).
Fairfax County Public Schools will hold Instructional Job Fairs as follows: Secondary and Specialty Area Job Fair, February 22, 2014; Elementary and Specialty Area Job Fair, March 15.
