Job Fairs

Students and graduates from Roanoke College are invited to participate in the following career and job fairs. Career Premiere Job & Internship Fair will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015, 11am-3pm, at the Green Ridge Recreation Center in Roanoke, VA.  Advance registration is required of all job/internship seekers.  Contact Career Services Office,, for details.

Roanoke Works/Xperience 2015 will take place on March 27-28, 2015.  This program is intended to provide participants with a better understanding of living, working and playing in the Roanoke/New River Valley region, and allow you to make a large number of networking connections and job contacts.  Registration is required for both parts of this program.  ROANOKE WORKS is open only to students at Roanoke College, Hollins University, Ferrum College, Radford University, and Virginia Western Community College.  XPERIENCE 2015 is open to the public.  Please visit for more information.  

ROANOKE WORKS is a private program for students and will feature presentations by several large employers, to share REAL opportunities, REAL jobs.  This program will be held on March 27 from 3:30-5:00pm at CoLab on Kirk. REGISTRATION THROUGH CAREER SERVICES IS REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION.  This group will then join the XPERIENCE group for a reception from 5-8pm at 16 West to kick off the YP portion of the conference.  On Saturday, March 28, 8:30am-1:00pm, the conference will feature workshops and panel discussions held by local entrepreneurs and community leaders from business, government, and non-profits.  The conference will close on Saturday afternoon with options of outdoor activities or a networking event, and then capped off with a social event at the Wasena Tap Room.  


Bright Services will hold a Hiring Event at their Starkey Road Branch in Roanoke on March 25, 9am-2pm.  Hiring for Office/Administrative and for Manufacturing/Distribution positions.  Must have minimum of one year recent qualifying work experience in the position type for which you are applying, good job history, attendance record and background report.  Before attending, visit and select "job seekers," select the SW County - Salem/Roanoke location and follow directions for the job to which you wish to apply.  After you submit your online application, come alone to the Starkey Rd office (5121 Starkey Rd, Roanoke) on the 25th during the stated hours.  

Virginia's Natural Bridge Park and Historic Hotel will hold a Job Fair on March 28 and 29, 1-5pm each day, at the Natural Bridge Hotel.  Hiring for banquest, administrative, sales, hotel services (laundry/housekeeping), maintenance, restaurant (servers/cooks/bussers/dishwashers); Cavern staff, Interpretative staff, Rockbridge Center staff.  

The 12th annual Sports Events Marketing Experience (SEME 2015), the premier national sports career and networking conference, is set for March 27-28, in Washington, D.C.
