RC Success - Peer Mentoring Program
Program Requirements
RC Success - Fall
Is a mentoring program for students selected by Admissions as a requirement of admittance. These students have been identified as students who would possibly have a difficult semester and could benefit from the structure and guidance of the RC Success Program. Students enrolled in the fall program sign a contract stating that they will complete the following weekly requirements:
1. Completing 4 hours of study hall per week.
a. Students may substitute 2 hours of study per week with going to Subject Tutoring or The Writing Center.
b. 1 hour per day is the maximum a student can count towards study hall requirements.
c. Students must follow the rules of study hall.
2. Meeting with his or her Peer Mentor at least 30 minutes per week.
3. Attending 4 weeks of Study Skills Sessions.
RC Success - Spring
Is an academic intervention program for students on academic warning during the freshman year. The program is designed to provide support, structure, and academic skills that will change the course of students' academic careers. Students participating in RC Success sign a contract stating that they will accept our academic intervention by completing the following:
1. Completing 6 hours of study hall per week.
a. Students may substitute 2 hours of study per week with going to Subject Tutoring or The Writing Center.
b. 2 hours per day is the maximum a student can count towards study hall requirements.
c. Students must follow the rules of study hall.
2. Meeting with their Peer Mentors at least 30 minutes per week.
3. Attending 4 weeks of Study Skills Sessions.
