All Roanoke College Faculty and Staff who are benefit-eligible may participate in the wellness program. Spouses may participate if they are currently enrolled in our health insurance plans. Participation is voluntary and free!
New Website and Health Survey
The CICV Benefits Consortium has established a relationship with beBetter Health to manage the wellness website for all of the Virginia member colleges. Beginning March 23rd, employees who participated in the health screenings or submitted the physician form, may continue their involvement in the wellness program by completing the health survey. Please reference the program guide below for more details about registering for the beBetter website, completing your health survey online, and qualifying for future wellness incentive payments. To qualify for the second quarterly wellness incentive, you must complete your health survey by Wednesday, May 20th .
Those employees who did not take part in the health screening events may still choose to meet with our health coach, join in wellness events, and enter in prize drawings; however, they will not be eligible to earn the quarterly wellness incentives in 2015. We do encourage employees to consider participating in future health screenings in order to fully utilize the benefits of the Roanoke College employee wellness program.
Health Coach & Wellness Advocate
We are very pleased to welcome Kate Kirkpatrick, our new CICV Health Coach/Wellness Advocate, who will be on campus weekly for health coaching sessions. Kate's broad knowledge ranging from fitness, to nutrition, to stress management, to disease prevention and management will be a valuable asset to our wellness program. Kate will be working closely with our Wellness Team to coordinate upcoming wellness programming and promote wellness activities on campus. If you are enrolled in the Roanoke College health insurance plans and participate in the wellness program, you can earn an incentive! The first quarterly wellness incentive was granted based on participation in the biometric screening. To qualify for the second quarterly wellness incentive, you must complete your health survey by Wednesday, May 20th . The remaining incentive requirements were developed in conjunction with the wellness team and our health coach and are listed on the beBetter site. Incentives are paid quarterly on the last pay period of each quarter.
