Information Technology, along with the Alumni Office, is pleased to allow you to keep a Roanoke College e-mail address after graduating from college.
What is my permanent Roanoke College e-mail address?
Simple. It's whatever your e-mail address is now. Potential employers, family & friends can keep sending e-mail to your current e-mail address. They won't notice any change.
What is my email quota after I graduate?
Your e-mail quota will remain the same as it currently is.
What is my permanent Roanoke College e-mail password?
Simple again. It's whatever your e-mail password is now. If you want to change your password in the future, go to MyRoanoke and click on the @mail.roanoke.edu link. Login with your existing password. Go to "Options" if you wish to change your password. Please note that this only changes your password for your e-mail account. This does not change your MyRoanoke password. Also, changing your MyRoanoke password does not change your e-mail password.
How can I read messages sent to this address after graduation?
Just go to MyRoanoke, click the @mail.roanoke.edu link, login, and you will see your e-mail.
What's the catch?
You'll want to check your e-mail frequently or forward it to another e-mail address (see the next question) so that your mailbox doesn't fill up.

What if I don't want a permanent Roanoke College e-mail address?
No action on your part is necessary. Simply don't check your RC mail using a browser or set up message forwarding. We encourage you to update your record on the Roanoke College Alumni Web Page at:
You can enter your preferred e-mail address and mailing address so you will receive the RC Electronic Newsletter, the RC Alumni Magazine and Newsletters, as well as information on alumni events.
