Secure Wireless Connection Instructions for Devices other than Laptops

Wireless printers, routers, and switches are not supported on campus.

To connect with a gaming system:

Gaming systems can connect via the wireless automatically by using the RCGaming network and the network security key provided here. Simply log on with your MyRoanoke username and password to get access to the key; this key will expire every few months so check back if your gaming system stops connection! You can also request wired access for your gaming system here.

To connect with an iPhone or iPod Touch:

1. Open "Settings"
2. Select "Wifi"
3. Select the RCSecure wireless network
   
    
4. When prompted enter your Roanoke College username and password and press "Join"
   
    
5. Press "Accept" when prompted with the acs.roanoke.edu certificate
   
    
6. You should now be connected to the RCSecure network and able to browse the internet

To connect with an Android cell phone/device:

1. Open Settings
   
    
2. Select "Wifi"
3. Select the RCSecure wireless network[
   
    
4. Scroll to "Identity" and enter your Roanoke College username
   
    
5. Scroll to "Password" and enter your Roanoke College password
6. Press "Connect"
7. You should now be connected to the RCSecure network and able to browse the internet

To connect with other Devices, including eReaders and Tablets:

You may use this wireless internet on any device, including laptops and cell phones. HOWEVER, please note that is much less secure, so it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to only use this network on devices that cannot connect to RCSecure.

1. Select wireless network "RoanokeCollege" in your wireless settings
2. Open web browser
3. Enter your Roanoke College username and password
4. You should now be able to browse the internet
