Health Care Administration

About the Program

The Health Care Administration concentration is designed primarily for students interested in Hospital or Health Care Administration. It is likely that most of these students will pursue (eventually or immediately after graduation) a master's degree in Hospital/Health Care Administration. Ultimately, they would be likely to work for a hospital, health maintenance organization, or public or private medical facility.


A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 in all prerequisite course work is required. In addition, the student must earn a 2.0 cumulative grade point average in all course work required to complete the concentration. The concentration is achieved by completion of the following courses: ECON 121,122, 227, SOCI 223, 323, BUAD 215, 218, 254. Also, must complete one unit from BUAD 274, Psychology 250, BUAD 416 or SOCI 416. Recommended: IST 116 and Sociology 241

Ambassador Robinson keeps doing it all

Robinson has had a lot of callings. The Eagle Scout and economics major served in the U.S. Army and the administrations of Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. As special advisor to Secretary of State George Schultz, he was named “Ambassador” in 1983. Now he is launching a new career, planning a book, and heading up a national organization.
