Creative Writing Concentration
The concentration in creative writing offers students an in-depth experience in writing and literature. Students will study forms of poetry, fiction and creative non-fiction as they work on improving their own creative writing skills.
Requirements
Students may earn the concentration in creative writing by completing 6 units, selected from two required areas.
Required (3 Units)
ENGL 215 Creative Writing-Fiction
ENGL 216 Creative Writing-Poetry
ENGL 316 Advanced Creative Writing
Three Electives from:
One of the following: ENGL 220, 240, 250, or 260
One or more literature courses at the 300 or 400-level
ENGL 406 Independent Study
TART 401 Play writing
