Degree Programs
Bachelor of Science
The Mathematics Department at Roanoke offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. This degree requires the satisfactory completion of 13 units in mathematics, statistics and computer science to include:- Mathematics 122, 131, 201, 331, 361, 431, 491,
- Statistics 202 and Computer Science 120;
- four additional units at or above the 300-level.
Mathematics 121 is a prerequisite to all courses in the major.
Minor in Mathematics
A minor in mathematics will require six units, including: MATH 121, 122, 131, 201 and two additional units in mathematics or statistics. One of these additional units must be a 200 level or above and the other must be at the 300 level or above.
Concentration in Statistics
A concentration in statistics will require five units, including STAT 202, 301, 401 and two additional units chosen from STAT 403, 404, CPSC 420, MATH 388 (with approval of the department) and MATH 416 or STAT 416 (with approval of the department).

Roanoke College Professor Studies Effects of Global Warming
Munley’s 2005 lecture in Laos, “The Science of Global Warming,” centered around challenges posed against global warming over the past 100 years and why humans are the reason global warming is becoming such a hot issue.
