About the program

A country with over five thousand years of vibrant history, China has the second largest economy in the world and is one of the United State's most active trading partners. Roanoke's Chinese program focuses on cultural understanding as well as conversational language skills.

Roanoke graduate receives Fulbright grant to study in China

Kathleen Ouyang '13 is headed to China this summer for a 14-month language learning and research trip through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. She will research the impact of heritage tourism in the city of Xi'an.
