Zeno Contest

The Zeno Contest is a critical thinking contest sponsored by the Religion and Philosophy Department every year in the first part of the spring semester. Students are given a logical puzzle and are invited to submit their solutions to it in a brief (1-3 page) paper. A panel of faculty judges all entries on the basis of the clarity and rigor of their analysis. Successful papers should explain as clearly as possible the reasoning that generates the puzzle and its resolution. A modest cash prize and an extravagant trophy are awarded to the student with the best solution to the puzzle.
