Family of Freshmen
The Freshmen Retreat is an awesome time where the group of freshmen from Honors have a chance to get away from campus, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with each other. The group truly grows together as a community and builds relationships that last.
A few weeks into the fall semester, freshmen travel to Wilderness Adventure at Eagles Landing in Catawba, Virginia. While at WA, students enjoy activities such as kayaking, high ropes, or rock climbing. They tackle tasks that require teamwork, face new obstacles, and even take a ride on the third longest zip line in the world! In the evenings the group relaxes together around the campfire or in the cozy living room. They make smores, share stories from their lives, and continue to grow together as a community.
