Warner N. Dallhouse '56
Warner N. Dalhouse attended Roanoke College from 1952 to 1954 before receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in commerce from the University of Virginia. He is also a graduate of the Virginia Bankers School of Bank Management at the University of Virginia, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. White at Roanoke College, he was a member of Kappa Alpha social fraternity.
Dalhouse began his banking career with First National Exchange Bank, now Dominion Bank, where he is currently chairman of the board and chief executive officer. He is also president and chief executive officer of Dominion Bankshares Corporation and a member of the Board of both companies.
The Roanoke Jaycees awarded their Outstanding Citizen Aware to Dalhouse in 1974. Today, he serves the community in many ways. He is president of the Roanoke Public Library Foundation, a member of the board of directors for Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley, and was recently elected board chairman and president for Center in the Square in Roanoke.
Dalhouse was chairman of the Roanoke College Sesquicentennial Plan, and has served the college diligently as a longtime Associate, founder, and chairman of the Roanoke College Community Advisory Committee. He was also an active member of the Roanoke College Board of Trustees. He earned the Roanoke College Medal on April 9, 1988 for his distinguished service and professional achievement.
