I write to thank you personally for the scholarship money that I have received from the funding you established. This scholarship, along with others, has been essential to my being able to attend Roanoke College. There are so many young people who wish to go to college but who are unable to for financial reasons. You are helping to maintain access to higher education for all worthy students. I am proud that Roanoke College has expressed confidence in me as a student, and I am most grateful for your support of students like me.

I am a junior this year. Though I only have a year and a half of college left, I feel as though I have been at Roanoke just a few short, exciting months. I am majoring in history with a minor in American politics, and I plan to attend law school. I stay very busy on campus with my involvement in Delta Gamma, Campus Activities Board, the Maroon Corps, and the Historical Society.

Once again, I thank you very much for your generosity. I know that I can speak for all students who receive scholarship support when I say that we are proud of you for your commitment to Roanoke College and to the many students you are helping now and in the future.
