A Cappella Carnivella Returns

SALEM, Va. — Roanoke College a cappella groups Mainstreet and Looking for an Echo will host the eighth annual A Cappella Carnivella, Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. in the College’s Alumni Gym. This concert benefits Habitat for Humanity and features a cappella groups representing several east coast colleges and universities.

The concert includes one group from Virginia Tech, one from Southern Virginia University, three groups from James Madison University and two from Roanoke College. Each group will be singing a set of songs that range from current radio hits to doo-wop classics.

Proceeds from ticket, t-shirt and concession sales at the concert will be donated to Habitat for Humanity. Tickets are $5 for students and $7 for the general public. They may be purchased at the door or at the Roanoke College Colket Center Information Desk at (540) 378-5125.

Roanoke College, the country’s second oldest Lutheran-related college, is an independent, co-educational, four-year liberal arts college.
