SALEM, Va.-The Roanoke College Choir announces a concert featuring the music of G.F. Handel for Sunday, April 1 at 4 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Roanoke. The College's choir will be joined by Second Presbyterian's Chancel Choir for this concert.
Joining the choir will be soloists Thomas Baugh, organist and soprano Patricia Clevenger and members of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Jeffrey Sandborg will conduct. Selections for the concert include: Coronation Anthems, Zadok the Priest, "Let Thy Hand be Strengthened;" and "The King Shall Rejoice." Organ Concertos; Op. 4, Nos., 5 and 6; "Sinfonia" from Solomon; "Overture and Musette" from The Occasional Oratorio; and Choruses from Jephthe, Solomon, Messiah, and Laudate Pueri.
