Devines '00 & '99 have joined the ranks of the Associate-level donors at Roanoke College
Their strong ties to the College helped motivate them to support Roanoke at this level.
'They always intended to "give back to the College that has given us both so much." So as soon as Doug '99 and Brooke '00 Devine found themselves able, they joined the ranks of the Associate-level donors to Roanoke College.
The strong ties Brooke and Doug developed at the College helped motivate them to support Roanoke at this level. Some of Brooke's favorite memories of Roanoke involve the support and individual attention she received from the faculty in the math and psychology departments. Doug's favorite memories revolve around the friendships and experiences he gained through the lacrosse team and his fraternity, Pi Kappa Phi.
"We hope that future generations can experience Roanoke as we did," the Devines say. "We made lifelong friendships while we were there, and the academic demands prepared us well for the challenges that we have faced since graduation."
After graduating from Roanoke, Brooke received her master's and a certificate of advanced graduate studies in school psychology from George Mason University. She is currently a school psychologist for Roanoke City Schools. Doug is a sales manager for New Energy, a furniture importer based in Christiansburg, Virginia. The couple resides in Salem.
