Katrina King: Roanoke helped me discover so much about myself
"College is about finding out who you are and... what you want to do...," says senior Katrina King, who discovered her major almost by accident when she took an art history course her freshman year. "My professors really helped me to find my path."
King, who intends to work in an art museum after graduate school, has already taken some significant steps toward her goal. Through internships with both the Salem Museum and the Taubman Museum of Art, she has gained experience curating an exhibit, researching collections, developing special events and managing educational programs. In addition, the research she's completed for her summer scholar program will significantly increase her chances of getting into a top-tiered graduate school.
"To have the support of a professor and know that they are just as invested in my education as I am is beyond words...," says King. "Roanoke College has helped me discover so much about myself."
