Lecture and Book Signing: "An Evening with Jabari Asim"

Thursday, January 22, 7 p.m. Wortmann Ballroom. Book signing and reception to follow in Pickle Lounge. No tickets required.

Jabari Asim is the editor-in-chief of Crisis magazine, a preeminent journal of politics, ideas and culture. He is a frequent public speaker and commentator who has appeared on The Today Show, The Colbert Report, Hannity & Colmes, the Tavis Smiley Show, the Diane Rehm Show as well as countless others. Asim is the author of What Obama Means, coming out January 20, and The N Word: Who Can Say It, Who Shouldn't and Why. This event is sponsored by Roanoke's Office of Multicultural Affairs.
