McClymond to speak about "Jonathan Edwards and Future of Global Christianity" Feb. 10

Michael McClymond, St. Louis University

Salem, VA - Michael McClymond, associate professor at Saint Louis University, will speak at Roanoke College on Friday, Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m. The lecture will take place in Antrim Chapel, and is free and open to the public. He will be speaking about "Jonathan Edwards and the Future of Global Christianity."

McClymond co-authored "The Theology of Jonathan Edwards" (Oxford University Press) with Dr. Gerald McDermott, Jordan-Trexler Professor of Religion at Roanoke College. At forty-five chapters, the new book is the most comprehensive treatment ever attempted of the work of the philosopher-theologian widely regarded as America's most significant religious thinker.

"A truly impressive work. It is remarkable to find a comprehensive and insightful guide to all of Edwards's theology in one place and in a volume that is a pleasure to read," George Marsden, one of America's most distinguished historians, writes of the new McDermott-McClymond book.
