SALEM, Va. -Roanoke College professors and students recently participated in a poetry reading as a memorial to victims of the Virginia Tech shootings. English professors Robert Schultz and Paul Hanstedt collaborated with a colleague at Hollins University to accomplish the project.
A group of ten classic poems dealing with grief and loss were chosen. From that group, student participants, including some from Virginia Tech, chose which they would read. Yvette Hodgson and Ben R. Williams, both members of Roanoke's class of 2007, participated in the reading, which aired on Roanoke's public radio station, WVTF.
