  • SALEM, Va. - Roanoke College has introduced a new Web site for its bookstore customers. The site includes an online marketplace and information about the campus store's hours and services. Products available for online purchase include select lines of emblematic clothing, gifts, items for the home, diploma frames and gift cards. Bookstore manager Judy Minahan says that by fall 2010, all textbooks also will be available through the Web site.

Many items feature the image of the College's new mascot, "Rooney," including the bookstore's newest product, a Rooney doll, which just arrived on campus and will be available on the Web site next week.

The College has partnered with point-of-sale provider Missouri Book Service to offer the site, which is fully compliant with all necessary security procedures. Minahan says that most items purchased online will ship within one or two business days via FedEx ground service.

The demand for an online bookstore site has been strong, says Minahan, and she and her staff are happy to offer this new service. She also says, "We're very excited and pleased that it is up for the holiday season."
