PresidentAlex DeLaricheliere '14 "When I arrived at Roanoke College, I had no idea about sorority life and didn't have any plans to join. However, when I learned about the different organizations on campus and talked to my friends who were going through recruitment, it seemed like something I wanted to try. After I joined my organization, I realized just how many doors it had really opened up for me. Going through the recruitment process helped me learn how to talk to people in uncomfortable situations, and how to be a good conversationalist, which has helped me with talking to professors, people at work, and on job interviews. Also, once I joined my organization I realized just how many leadership opportunities there were, from being on my own organizations Executive board, to being on a planning committee for philanthropy or sisterhood events, to being a part of the Panhellenic council. I also learned about how to get more involved with other clubs and groups on campus, just by seeing all of the wonderful things my sisters were involved in. Deciding to be (and stay!) Greek was one of the best decisions I have made since coming to Roanoke, and it seems like I find something new to love about sorority life every day!" |

Vice President - AdministrationLaura Stavetski '14 "I joined a sorority because I wanted to be able to form lifetime bonds with my sisters. I wanted to become a part of something bigger than myself and I believed that sorority life would allow me to do this. My sisters have become my best friends and I would do anything for them. Being a part of a sorority has given me everything I could have ever wanted in a college experience." |
