SGA Elections Run through Friday, Sept. 23rd @ Noon

Be sure to cast your ballot. Students will vote for candidates in three areas: Academic Rep, Class Rep, & District Rep. All enrolled students received an email message with a unique link to your SGA Ballot. Cast Your VOTE TODAY!

SGA Elections Process

The Student Government Assocaition is currently holding elections for the new Senate and We want you. First off thank you checking out the website to see the current offering of positions. This year offers historic changes in the composition of our Student Government with the implementation of a new constitution. This new constitution enables the entire student body to be accurately represented across campus.


SGA is where a student's voice can be heard, where decisions and changes are made that impact the entire campus community. Through Student Government significant legislation is orchestrated to assist students in their endeavors both academic and social. We look forward to a very successful year in forming this new Senate which cannot be done without you.

 
Please download or pickup an election packet in Student Affairs or at the Colket Info Desk if interested in running for office. The packet and campaign statement are due by 4pm in Student Affairs on September 17th. Elections will be held the following week.

Breakdown of the Senate Positions


Each candidate may run for one of the following seats:


Class Senator (Senior,Junior, Sophomore, or Freshman)
One Senate seat will be given to each class


District Senator (Off-Campus, On-campus, or Greek)
Four Senate seats will be given to students with Commuter/Off-
Campus status
Three Senate seats will be given to students residing in the
Quinones Area - Bartlett, Fox, Smith, Wells, and Yonce Halls
Two Senate seats will be given to students residing in the
Faulstick Area - Marion and Bowman Halls
Four Senate seats will be given to students residing in the
Lenez Area - Blue Ridge, Shenandoah, Mt. Tabor, Catawba,
Elizabeth, Afton, and Augusta Halls
Three Senate seats will be given to students residing in the
Bady Area - Allegheny, Caldwell, Chalmers, Crawford, and
Ritter halls

Four Senate seats will be given to students in the social Greek
Community

Academic Senator
One senate seat will be given to each Academic department.

One senate seat will be given to students with an undeclared
major.
