College Bowl is an inter-collegiate competition of the mind! It’s a quick response questions and answer format game that is played in teams. Each year, the College Bowl team sponsors a campus competition with prizes awarded to the winning teams. An “all-star” team is selected to compete against other schools in a regional tournament. The RC College Bowl Team was the Region 5 Winner in 2002 and competed for the National Championship!

The Ethics Bowl Team is a group of students who talk about ethics and the practice thereof pertaining to particular cases. It is similar to a debate team in that we present arguments and defend them in a competition. The competition is held annually and we work up to this competition that we, among other Virginia schools, participate in. The purpose of the club is discussion of ethical issues and the main activity that we participate in is the annual Ethics Bowl.

Although open to all students on campus, this is a group of students interested in health and human performance, and its mission is to promote physical activity and healthy living behaviors in general. Some of the group's initiatives have included Midnight Madness, Glow in the Dark Volleyball, and organizing a 5K fun walk/run. The group chooses officers annually, and the advisor for the group is Cheryl Staver from the department of Health and Human Performance.
