Housing Selection Troubleshooting

Help - I can't log in!

First, check several things:

  1. Is it currently before March 25th? The housing web service won't be available to log in until after March 25th at 9:00am. 
  2. Do you have any holds on your account? You won't be able to select a room if you have not paid the Housing and Tuition Deposit. If you don't think you have any holds, call us at 540-375-2308. 

I don't know my timeslot...

Whoops. Check your email - you should have gotten one telling you what your time slot is. If you know how many credits you have, you can also check the schedule.

I can't get to the "Choose the Room" part of the menu.

Are you sure of your timeslot? If you've checked the schedule, make sure you have the time that corresponds with the number of credits you have as of the end of the Fall 2014 semester. 

I'm looking for my friend to request him/her as a roommate, but they are not showing up when I search. 

In order for your friend to show up, he/she must have filled out the first four steps of the housing application online. Make sure you tell them to get to it! For more information about requesting roommates, see our Selecting Roommates page.

When I search for a certain kind of room, I get the message "no results found."

Unfortunately, that means there are no more of those specific spaces available. You should select another option and if you like, you can go on the waiting list beginning April 13th at 4:30pm. Need to see some floorplans to make another selection??? Click here.

I am on the website, but I don't see a space to log in or an "application" section on the left hand side.

Try refreshing the page! If it still doesn't work, give us a call at 540-375-2308. 

What about my meal plan??? 

This has changed for this year. After housing selection is over, Residence Life will assign students their default MINIMUM meal plan (so, if you live in Marion, 14 meals, or if you live in Afton, 9 meals). You can request to change this at a later time by contacting the Business Office. 

I'm getting an error message that isn't mentioned above.
