How to Appeal for Off Campus Release
A campus-wide committee will hear appeals from students who do not receive off-campus release during the off-campus selection process and who wish to continue to pursue the possibility. The Committee will meet twice a year, once during the fall semester to consider requests for the subsequent spring semester and once during the spring semester to consider requests for the subsequent fall semester. Please note, only extenuating circumstances will be considered.
The Off-Campus Appeals Committee meeting to hear appeals for Fall 2015 release will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015.
Appeals must be submitted in writing and must be received in the Office of Residence Life and Housing, no later than Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. All necessary documentation is also due at that time. Late appeals will not be considered.

Appeals for off campus release should include the following materials:
If the appeal is due to a non-medical reason(s)
Written statement which outlines compelling reasons for and benefits of living off campus and how living on campus creates a hardship for you
If the appeal is due to a medical/physical or psychological/emotional reason(s), including learning disabilities, other than respiratory conditions
Completed Request for Special Housing Accommodations Cover form
Completed Request for Special Housing Accomodations for Medical or Psychological Reasons form and all related materials
Students will be notified in writing of the decisions of the Off Campus Appeals Committee.
