Residence Life

All full-time students are required to live on-campus, space permitting, except those who have lived in the Roanoke Valley area (i.e., within a 30-mile radius of the Roanoke College campus) for at least six months preceding the date of first enrollment, those who are married those who live with parents, grandparents, or siblings, those who are 23 years old (before the beginning of the term they desire to live off-campus), those who are military veterans, or those who have received and accepted permission to live off campus during housing selection. Part-time students may reside on-campus, under certain circumstances, if space permits. Students who drop to part-time status during a term are not permitted to live on-campus without approval from the Office of Student Affairs. Students who live off-campus fall term due to part-time status must return to live on-campus if they return to full-time status in the spring, or receive permission from the Office of Student Affairs to remain off-campus.
