INTERNSHIPS: Sociology, Public Health Studies, and Anthropology
Internship (SOCI/PHST/ANTH 416):
An internship (SOCI/PHST/ANTH 416) is designed to provide students with actual work experience in a community setting and an opportunity to work directly with people involved in the agency, service, or organization. The student may benefit in at least the following three ways: (1) gaining actual work experience as a means of enhancing theories and concepts learned in the classroom; (2) testing personal satisfaction with a particular type of work; and (3) making contacts that may help in securing future employment.
