Mail Services
The Post Office is located in the Lower Level of the Colket Center.
Roanoke College offers a variety of mail services, including:
- Providing campus mailboxes for all types of mail distribution
- Interdepartmental and on-campus mail delivery
- Stamp sales
- Sending of Certified, Express, Insured, and Priority mail
- Sending packages, including internationally
- Sending FedEx including Next-Day Air
- Forwarding student mail during summer break and after graduation
- Mail is received and distributed Monday-Friday, except for holidays
- Receiving and distribution mail and packages from all carriers

Bulk Mailing Procedures (for RC departmental use only)
Requirements for mailing from Roanoke College Mail Services
- Minimum 200 piece count
- Notify Mail Service one week prior to mail date to include piece count and account number
- Mailings larger than 2 trays must be brought to Mail Services via the RC Maintenance Department
Information for mailings processed by outside vendors
- Using the College Permit #11 requires that you inform Mail Services of the estimated mailing cost and RC account number one week prior to processing
- Using Permit #11 requires that the mailing be taken to the Salem Post Office
- Using the vendors' permit may speed up the delivery of your mail, as it does not have to go through the Salem Post Office
- Using the vendors' permit may also reduce your mailing costs
- In using the vendors' permit, all mailing costs are paid directly to the vendor.
