Family Weekend FAQ
You are welcome to register for any events you are interested in attending. Most events on campus during Family Weekend are free and open to anyone who would like to stop by. The registration process allows you to pre-purchase any on-campus meals that you would like to attend, such as Friday on the Quad (FOTQ) or Brunch.
If you get to campus and would like to attend an event you did not register for, please feel free to do so. If the event requires a ticket, they will be available for sale in the Colket Center on both Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend.
The Colket Center is the building near the center of campus where you can also find the Commons, the Campus Store, and the Mail Room.
No, it is not required for you to register your student. Students who have a meal plan will be able to use their swipes for any meals during Family Weekend. If your student does not have a meal plan, or you would like to buy them a meal, you are welcome to register them.
No, it is not required for you to add a class year.
All parking is open for Family Weekend, please feel free to park in any open space.
If you need assistance with getting around campus, please call (540) 375-2238. The Office of Alumni & Family Relations will be happy to help as much as possible.
The Office of Alumni & Family Relations will have your tickets inside the Colket Center on both Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend.
The Colket Center is the building near the center of campus where you can also find the Commons, the Campus Store, and the Mail Room.
No, it is not required for you to check in! The Office of Alumni & Family Relations will have day programs and campus maps available inside the Colket Center on both Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend as needed. Staff members will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Yes, the Office of Alumni & Family Relations will have tickets available for purchase on both Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend. On Friday, tickets can be purchased on the Back Quad or inside of the Colket Center. On Saturday, tickets can be purchased in the Colket Center.
