RC-RV has an ambitious vision of expanding access to workforce development, continuing education and flexible learning opportunities for people and employers across the region. It will work hand-in-hand with partners in business, industry and community groups to tailor programs to the needs of the Roanoke Valley.

Explore@RC, Roanoke College's new lab school, will allow local high school students in grades 10-12 to participate in a dual-enrollment program, taking 12 free college-level courses on Roanoke’s campus and getting a jump start on earning a four-year degree.

Our program, which is the first of its kind in Virginia, will allow graduates to capitalize on a rapidly growing industry. The core curriculum for Roanoke’s Cannabis Studies Program will educate students in the botany and history of cannabis, as well as the policy issues surrounding the industry.
