RC-RV (Roanoke College-Roanoke Valley) has an ambitious vision to expand access to workforce development, continuing education and flexible learning opportunities for people and employers across the region.
For too long, our college and the surrounding communities have lived in separate worlds, with limited opportunities to share our knowledge and skills to make our mutual community a better place to live. RC-RV creates a metaphorical bridge to strengthen the ties among us, solve current challenges and grow local talent.

Explore@RC, Roanoke College's new lab school, will allow local high school students in grades 10-12 to participate in a dual-enrollment program, taking 12 free college-level courses on Roanoke’s campus and getting a jump start on earning a four-year degree.

Our program, which is the first of its kind in Virginia, will allow graduates to capitalize on a rapidly growing industry. The core curriculum for Roanoke’s Cannabis Studies Program will educate students in the botany and history of cannabis, as well as the policy issues surrounding the industry.
