Resident Student Meal Plans
Roanoke College Dining Service is self-operated and proud to provide your culinary experiences during meals and campus events. Students may use their meal plan in Sutton Commons, The Cavern, Rooney's Brews in Fintel Library, at our Food Truck, Concessions, or at Freshens on College Avenue.
All meal plans will be allotted by the week, the plans will refresh weekly at 2 AM Sunday. All unused "swipes" will be forfeited at that time. Flexible dining hours have been designed to accommodate your active schedule.

Reusable OZZI take-out containers are a sustainable option offered in the Sutton Commons, for guests who desire to take meals to-go. Dining plan holders should see the cashier to be issued a coin that may be exchanged for a clean reusable container. Return emptied and rinsed containers to the return station in Colket Center to receive another coin.
Meal plan holders may also use a "swipe" (meal access equivalent) in our retail locations: The Cavern, Rooney's Brews, Freshens, and the Food Truck. Students may use up to two swipes per transaction.
Plan holders may change their meal plan selections through the second week of the new meal plan period by contacting the Business Office.
Guest swipe access will be active the after the second week of the new meal plan period. This is to allow for students to finalize selecting the most appropriate plan for their dining needs.
Commuter Student Meal Plans
Commuter plans are available in blocks of thirty (30) swipes, for use in the Sutton Commons. Commuter block plans cost $275.00, and may be purchased at the cashier desk in Sutton Commons. Plans expire at the end of the spring semester during the academic year in which they were purchased.
Faculty & Staff Meal Plans
Faculty & Staff plans are available in blocks of thirty (30) swipes, for use in the Sutton Commons. Faculty & Staff block plans cost $225.00, and may be purchased at the cashier desk in Sutton Commons. Faculty Staff Block plans may only be purchased and used by facutly or staff, and do not expire during employment.
Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars may be added to your Maroon Card/Mobile Credential for use at any of Roanoke College's dining locations. Dining Dollars provide for a 5% discount with the purchase of food and alcohol-free beverages. Web deposits may be added via the Maroon Card page.
Cash withdrawals from the Dining Dollars Account are not permitted. Refunds will be issued after the account holder graduates, withdraws or is dismissed from the college, and/or terminates employment. Refunds will be processed for the account balance after charging a closing fee of $20.00. Cardholders are encouraged to spend the remaining account balance to avoid the closing fee. Refund checks are written in the name of the account holder and mailed to the current address on file in the office of Student Accounts for students or Human Resources/Payroll for faculty and staff.
