Sara Farthing ’18 has no “Plan B” for her career path, no desire other than to be a veterinarian like her mother, Dr. Lisa Wilson Farthing ’84.

After more than 30 years serving the Roanoke College community, Associate Director of Campus Safety John Grisetti is retiring.

Students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to two Roanoke College sponsored events in downtown Roanoke in late August.

Maurice Ferguson '77 began publishing poems while in college. With the help of several  from RC and the Roanoke Valley arts community, one of his poems was turned into a mockingbird mural in Roanoke's Wasena area.

Alumni weekend 2018 was a success, drawing hundreds of alumni back to Salem for a variety of reunions, traditions, and new events.

The inaugural Maroon Connections: Alumni Career Fair will take place on Thursday, April 12, the week of alumni weekend, on the main floor of the Colket Center.

Roanoke College is honored to welcome Dr. D. Rae Carpenter, Jr. '49 and Wesley Graves VI '63 back to campus to accept the Roanoke College Medal during the 2018 Alumni Weekend.

This year's Alumni Weekend brings the usual fare as well as some new additions, including an alumni/student networking event, social media ambassador reception, family karaoke night, a rite of remembrance and the first annual Noke Hour.

Young, who worked at a Head Start preschool program after graduating from Roanoke, always wanted to teach in underprivileged schools. But her heart yearned to bake.
