After spending most of his life at big universities, Dr. Frank Shushok Jr. never imagined himself leading a small liberal arts college like Roanoke College. Now, just five months into his term as the school's 12th president, he can't imagine being anywhere else.

Gary Gibbs, a history professor at Roanoke, was recently awarded the society’s medal for his long service as editor of the Sixteenth Century Journal. 

After a combined 427 years of dedication and service to Roanoke College, 14 retirees were recognized and honored alongside other faculty and staff at the Gratitude Gala on Dec. 16.
