Melanie Wine Tolan, a communications strategist, has been named Roanoke College’s executive director of marketing and communications. In the newly created position, Tolan—former executive vice president at Edelman, a global communications firm—will join Roanoke College’s senior leadership team.

Roanoke College’s actuarial science program was added to the Universities and Colleges with Actuarial Programs listing, indicating that the program prepares students for success in the profession, including the introductory exams in the field.
