Family Schedule

Family Opportunity

Roanoke College values the assistance parents, guardians, family and all supporters provide new first year students.  We invite you to participate as your schedule allows.

Beforehand - Videos
A series of new videos have been created to inform you of resources available to you and your students.  New students are required to view several of these in Inquire and answer "check-in" questions to ensure they move through the material prior to their registered session.

Our hope is that you review this content (links available below), discuss it with your student and jot down a few comments or questions.  Next, join us, and your new student, for 4 different Live Panels on the day your student registered for.

Panel members will include staff from Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Dining, Housing and a series of partners related to Campus Engagement.  Questions can be submitted beforehand to orientation@roanoke.edu subject "Panel Question"

*Family of students admitted to our Honors Program - Chad Morris, Director, will be hosting a program for you as well. Feel free to join him on July 3rd @ 12:00pm - 1:00pm.  

Links to join these panels will be provided to your student's RC email and for you, we will send it to the email we have on file with their admissions account.  To ensure everyone is included that would like to be, please ask your student to forward the email invitation with the link to the account you prefer.  Students and families can participate on separate devices, even from separate locations!

If you are unable to join us for one or more panel, they will be recorded for you to watch at a more convenient time.
