Walter O. McCulley graduated from Roanoke College in 1969 with a BS degree. At Roanoke he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity, ran track, and was on the Honor Council. McCulley is owner and president of Consolidate Industrial Roofing Incorporated in Roanoke. Along with his professional work and his family, he is active in his community and continues his commitment to Roanoke College.
His leadership roles at Roanoke College reflect his support of higher education. As chairman of the Roanoke Fund, he advised in the development of a program for annual contributions. He worked as a member of the Alumni Executive Council, was active in the Roanoke Valley Alumni Chapter, and was a member of the Sections Renovation Committee, assisting in the Sections Celebration.
McCulley is a sustaining Associate member, and serves on the Roanoke College Associates Steering Committee. His active participation, guidance, and support of programs are characteristic of his strong leadership and devotion to the college.
Walter O. McCulley was awarded the Roanoke College Medal for his distinguished service to the community and his professional achievements. Walter and his wife, Sharon McCulley raised three children together; Kevin Michael, Brendan Eric, and Erin Ashleigh.
