We offer lessons taught by professionals who are at the top of their field and active performers in the Roanoke Valley. They work with you through tailored one-on-one instruction to guide you to and help you achieve the next level of accomplishment and success. Majors and minors perform regularly at Music at Noon throughout the semester. In addition to developing their performance skills, students can also study composition. Students work closely with faculty to develop original work that is regularly premiered in public forums.
You don't have to be a music major to take lessons! Come try out something new. We offer classes in a variety instruments.
Brass (trumpet, french horn, trombone, low brass)
Strings (violin, viola, cello)
Piano
Percussion
Woodwinds (clarinet, flute, saxophone)
Voice
Guitar (jazz/folk, classical, bass)
Please contact the instructors directly to set up lessons each semester.
Applied Music Faculty
Applied music fee per course is $400. Declared music majors will have this fee waived under specific circumstances, please see the catalog for more information.
