Friday, January 31: Pre-SOMA Event at Via College of Ostepathic Medicine (Blacksburg)
On January 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 PM (check-in begins at 5:30PM), we are inviting college students to come to our campus, Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, to attend a mini lecture by our professor Dr. Millard. Afterwards, Dr. Millard and several of our anatomy lab tutors will take students up to the anatomy/cadaver lab to show students a critical part of our learning. We have a limited number of slots so please sign up as soon as possible. If you can no longer make it, please edit your sign up to give others a chance.

Thursday, February 6: Die a Good Death Panel Discussion
Dr. Lee Learman (Dean of VTCSOM), Rev. Bill Lee (former Army Chaplain, founder of New Horizons Healthcare, and retired pastor at the Loudon Ave Christian Church, and a Roanoke College alum, Jenna Anderson will be on the panel. Jenna has an MS in Health Education/Promotion, is a CHES, recently went back for a CNA, and works as a hospice aid out in Wyoming. She is writing a book about the dying process, following her time spent with a dear friend in his final year of life.
