Roanoke College Athletics Coronavirus Update

Roanoke Athletics and Roanoke College are closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. The health, safety and well-being of our community, on and off campus, is our top priority. 

Events may be moved because of safety issues for teams traveling to and from Salem. All schedules are subject to change as more information becomes available.

For varsity events, fans can consult the individual team schedule pages or the Composite Schedule Page.  This page will also be updated immediately as changes are confirmed.  

Update as of 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11 includes:

  • Facilities are open as scheduled and extra steps are being taken to disinfect public spaces.
  • Both our home and away contests this weekend will continue as scheduled. However, we encourage you to check back daily to confirm.
  • For other information or inquiries relating to recreation, intramurals and club sports, should be directed to Roanoke College Campus Recreation.

Spectators attending Athletics events:

At this time, all intercollegiate athletic contests will proceed as scheduled. Students and employees are welcome to cheer on our teams. Others are encouraged to view the events via livestream.  Check our sport schedules for times.   We advise fans to stay home if they are not feeling well and/or have compromised immune systems.

Please note, parents and spectators should check other institutions for their spectator policies before attending Roanoke College away games.
