All May Term travel courses canceled; many events canceled too
March 12, 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, which has now been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization, Roanoke College is canceling all travel courses for the May Term. Students and faculty enrolled in these courses have been notified. For more information regarding May Term please contact Dr. Gail Steehler at gsteehle@roanoke.edu.
All campus events through Sunday, March 15, have been canceled, including Thursday's coffee shop talk at Mill Mt. Coffee and Tea. Olin Hall Galleries will remain open during the week from 1-4 p.m., but will be closed on the weekend. We will update the online events calendar as we know the status of events.
We have updated the Frequently Asked Questions to include the many questions we are hearing from students, parents and the campus community.
The Office of Admissions remains open and our counselors are available at any time to talk with prospective students. While our big group visits have been canceled, individual appointments and Saturday visits are available. We are also in the process of creating virtual ways to connect with the Roanoke College community for those who do not feel comfortable traveling at this time.
Counseling and Student Health Services are operating as normal. If you are still on campus, please keep your appointment this week or call the offices.
Dining Services is open and will be feeding those still on campus. Services and hours may be limited.
