The Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges’ (VFIC) 24th annual statewide collegiate Ethics Bowl, presented by TowneBank, will take place Jan. 28 and 29 on the Hollins University campus. Five students from Roanoke College will participate in the event.
Roanoke's team will compete head-to-head against other highly qualified student teams from Virginia’s leading independent colleges and universities, deliberating on a variety of case studies related to this year’s theme: “Ethics and the Environment.”
Roanoke's team is comprised of: Gregory Dolan '24, Sam Lubline '27, Tanvi Savarkar '24, Grey Spence '27 and Amanda Wheatley '26. The faculty advisors are philosophy professors Brent Adkins and Hans Zorn.
Many notable people from a variety of career fields including business, law, education, finance, journalism and more will listen to the presentations and offer reactions to the students’ work.
