Senator Marco Rubio, candidate for GOP nomination for president, will speak at Roanoke College Sunday, Feb. 28 in the C. Homer Bast Center at 8:30 pm. (Doors open at 7:30 pm.)
As an educational institution, Roanoke College has a long history of presenting events to the Roanoke Valley region with an emphasis on civil discourse. This event just before "Super Tuesday" primary elections in Virginia and other states offers the opportunity for the students and campus community to hear directly from a national level candidate and make their own decisions with the positions presented. Roanoke College supports and values freedom of expression and freedom of speech.
Roanoke College is open to hosting political candidates who represent all viewpoints and welcomes visits by candidates from across the political spectrum. An appearance on campus should not be interpreted as a College endorsement of a particular candidate.
Rubio will appear in Bast Center Sunday at 8:30 pm. Doors open at 7:30 pm. Tickets required.
