Salem and Roanoke College host NCAA Division III Soccer Championships

Roanoke College will serve as a co-host, with the City of Salem, for the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Soccer Championships. The event will be held on Friday December 2 and Saturday December 3 at Kerr Stadium, with teams arriving for practice on campus Thursday, Dec. 1.
We welcome our colleagues, students and respective fan bases from the following institutions: Brandeis University, Calvin College, Messiah College, The University of Chicago, The University of St. Thomas, Tufts University, and Washington University - St. Louis.
On Friday, the game schedule for Kerr Stadium is as follows:
11:00 am St. Thomas vs. Tufts (men's)
1:30 pm Brandeis vs. Calvin (men's)
5:00 pm Messiah vs. Chicago (women's)
7:30 pm Washington - St. Louis vs. Brandeis (women's).
Also on Friday, the Salem Christmas Parade begins at 6:30 pm on Main Street so there will be increased traffic in the area. Please use caution driving and crossing streets during these congested times.
On Saturday, the championship games are scheduled in Kerr Stadium for 1:30 pm (men's) and 5:30 pm (women's). Also on Saturday, Roanoke College will be hosting an indoor Track & Field event at the Kerr-Cregger Field House.
A capacity crowd is expected. Due to the all-day festival nature of the event, attendees will be coming and going, throughout the day. The following parking restrictions will be in place during these events:
• Parking will be limited to NCAA attendees for the northern portion of the Bast/Trexler/Life Science Lot (P-7) between Friday, December 2nd at 12:01 am through Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 pm. Event parking will be controlled by RMC Event Staff. Campus community should not park in this lot.
• Parking in the Lot across from the Cregger Center (P-9) will be limited to event attendees between Saturday, December 3rd at 12:01 am through Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30 pm. Vehicles in this lot will need to be moved prior to this restriction. Event parking will be controlled by RMC Event staff. Campus community should not park in this lot.
• On-street parking will be permitted along the east side of Market Street and the west side of High Street. Parking too close to stop signs or fire hydrants and blocking driveways will be strictly enforced.
Roanoke College is proud to host NCAA Championship events. For the soccer fan, this event is a celebration of NCAA Division III Soccer. The games will certainly be exciting. The stakes are high. A National Champion Women's and Men's team will be crowned on Saturday.
Because this is an official NCAA Championship event, tickets are required. Faculty and staff may purchase tickets at the gate. Roanoke College will provide our students with a ticket -- show your Maroon Card at the gate.
