Virginia Private College Week July 22-27

Roanoke College is one of 23 participating colleges in the 2019 Virginia Private College Week hosted by the Council of Independent Colleges in Virginia (CICV). The program will be held July 22 to July 27.
Students will experience a campus tour and information sessions on admission, student life and academic programs, as well learn about scholarships and financial aid.
Roanoke College will be open Monday through Friday with sessions scheduled at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for prospective students. On Saturday, July 27, Roanoke will be open for a 9 a.m. session.

High school students and their parents are encouraged to go to a minimum of three CICV college visits in order to be eligible to have three college application fees waived (for participating colleges) and for the chance to win a $250 Amazon gift card. #Visit3andApplyforFree
For the first time, Virginia Private College Week will award a $250 Amazon gift card to a student who posts on social media using #VaPrivateCollegeWeek.
“Like students, each campus has a unique personality,” Dr. Brenda Poggendorf, vice president for enrollment, said. “The campus visit during private college week is the ideal way to begin to know a campus. Many students make this their first visit and then come back during the academic year to take a closer look and to get to know the heart of the campus – our faculty and students.”
