Savannah Scott '17 has accepted a Fulbright study/research award to study at the University of Technology of Vienna, Austria. Scott, who is from Huntington, N.Y., is a member of the Honors Program and a biology major, with minors in chemistry and French. She will be studying water quality in Austria from October 2017 to June 2018.

Eight Roanoke students are living and studying in Yucatan, Mexico, for the College's first semester abroad course.  

The Academic Integrity Council at Roanoke is sponsoring a film viewing and discussion of the importance of academic integrity both inside and outside the classroom. The film is "Dishonesty: The Truth About Lies."

Pam Pierce '72 founded Silver Bullet Productions, a nonprofit educational film company in New Mexico. She will speak and show one of her award-winning documentary films on March 15 at Roanoke College as part of Women's Forum.

Sentiment concerning the Virginia real estate market remains strong in the Commonwealth.

The Virginia Index of Consumer Sentiment is down since a record high in August. Sentiment is below the national February value. Republicans and Democrats remain divided, particularly about the future health of the economy. 

Restoration work at the Clay Street House is expected to be complete this year.

Virginians generally disapprove of Trump's presidency so far and think he is moving too quickly on policies.  Overall, a majority of Virginians see the nation divided regarding the important issues facing the U.S.
