Scholarly Activities
- Dr. Shende's current research projects include:
- 1). Finding longest induced paths in hypercube graphs
- 2). Several problems arising out of wireless and sensor networks
- Dr. Shende holds a patent that resulted from work with the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges and former Gov. Mark Warner to develop an online testing system that allows colleges to remotely certify their students as qualified job candidates for major companies:
- U.S. Patent No. 6,341,212, "System and method for certifying information technology skill through internet distribution examination," with Mark Warner and Linda Dalch, awarded on January 22, 2002.
